周利盘陀加

(周利槃陀加, 周利盘陀加)

(or [lang id =1028]周梨槃陀加) Kṣudrapanthaka; little (or mean) path. Twin brothers were born on the road, one called Śuddhipanthaka, Purity-path, the other born soon after and called as above, intp. [lang id =1028]小路 small road, and [lang id =1028]繼道 successor by the road. The elder was clever, the younger stupid, not even remembering his name, but became one of the earliest disciples of Buddha, and finally an (sa) arhat. The records are uncertain and confusing.
